Background
Hiroky Nakaya is the Managing Director of KRAYON, Inc.
He began his career in global public relations for Neil Barrett, the British designer who launched the Prada menswear division, working on media relations, promotions, and fashion show operations in Milan.
During a period of a brand rejuvenation and global expansion, he joined the London headquarters of a British Royal Warrant brand, where he led the company’s global communications, PR, and marketing activities, including establishing and developing the company’s in-house communications function, overseeing PR agencies across seven countries, managing European media relations, planning, negotiating, and managing fashion shows in London and Milan, and supporting VIP and celebrity events, award ceremonies, and film costume collaborations.
His experience spans global PR and marketing, international brand expansion across Europe and Asia, collaborations between sports and fashion, and the management of 90 fashion shows and events across Europe and Asia. His international work also includes B2B technology startups in London, exclusive distribution projects between Italian food brands and Japanese companies, and relationship building with artists, investors, and academic institutions in Mexico City.
After returning to Japan, he founded KRAYON, Inc.
He has studied at The New School for Social Research, Harvard Business School, and Kyoto University, and has been a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council since 2023.
